Special Duty Pay. A. The Fire Chief may assign personnel to special tasks or duties, i.e., computer analyst, video specialists, etc., and when doing so will agree to compensate them at the next-higher rank than the rank they occupy for the duration of the assignment. This special duty does not create a position.
