SPECIAL EDUCATION AIDE STIPENDS. Effective January 1, 2007, a five percent (5%) pay differential may be applied to special education aide positions as determined by the District. The District and CSEA will meet to initially develop the criteria to be utilized when determining which positions will receive the differential pay. The District shall utilize the criteria developed to assign the differential pay to the positions identified. The pay differential shall be added to or dropped from a position based upon student need as determined by the District. Appeals may be made to a committee composed of the Director of Human Resources or designee, the Director of Special Education or designee and Association President or designee. Decisions shall be final and not subject to grievance or reclassification processes.

Criteria includes student needs identified in student individual health plans (diapering, tube feeding, catheterization, etc.) and student’s needs related to social/emotional learning The pay differential shall be added to or dropped from a position based upon student need as determined by the District. Appeals may be made to a committee composed of the Director of Human Resources or designee, the Director of Special Education or designee and Association President or designee. Decisions shall be final and not subject to grievance or reclassification processes.

Related to SPECIAL EDUCATION AIDE STIPENDS

  • Special Education Special education services, related services, and accommodations for students who are eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any applicable provisions of state law, shall be provided in accordance with applicable state and federal law, this Agreement and Authorizer rules and policies. The Authorizer is the LEA for purposes of ensuring compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and all other federal and state laws and regulations concerning accommodation of and education of students with disabilities.

  • Special Education Teachers 24.5.1 Special education teachers who are involved in the development of Individualized Educational Programs (IEP) shall be granted the necessary time during the school day for testing, conferences, and the writing of IEP(s).

  • Distance Education Distance education means instruction in which the instructor and student are separated by distance and interact through the assistance of communication technologies. All distance education courses and sections will be designated as such in the District schedule of classes. Distance education courses include hybrid (see glossary) instruction and fully online instruction.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.
