Special Needs Child a child under age of eighteen (18) (up to and including the month they turn eighteen (18)), or under age nineteen (19) and still in school (up to and including the month they graduate high school), if graduation occurs prior to their nineteenth (19th) birthday, and meets one or more of the following criteria: Receives Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits based on their own disability, receives verifiable services through the Department of Mental Health, has a verifiable physical or mental disability or delay, is a Protective Services child, or is under court-ordered supervision.

Special Needs Child. A child whose physical condition has lasted or is expected to last at least two (2) years as diagnosed by a licensed medical or psychological practitioner, a child determined eligible for special services under the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) for whom a current IFSP or IEP exists, and/or a child with an emotional and/or behavioral disturbance defined by IDEA and reviewed by a team of Behavior Specialists certified in Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation (designated by the DCCECE) as experiencing one or more of the following: an inability to learn that cannot be explained by intellectual, sensory, or health factors, an inability to build or maintain satisfactory interpersonal relationships with peers and teachers, inappropriate types of behavior or feelings under normal circumstances, a general pervasive mood of unhappiness or depression, and/or a tendency to develop physical symptoms or fears associated with personal or school problems.
Special Needs Child a child with an identified disability or special health care need who requires appropriate, individualized accommodations and supports to access, and participate in the routines and activities with their peers. The child may need increased supervision and/or adaptive equipment.

  • Special Needs Any Passenger with mobility, communication or other impairments, or other special or medical needs that may require medical care or special accommodations during the cruise or CruiseTour, including but not limited to the use of any service animal, must notify the Carrier of any such condition at the time of booking. Xxxxxxxxx agrees to accept responsibility and reimburse Carrier for any loss, damage or expense whatsoever related to the presence of any service animal brought on board the Vessel or Transport. Passengers acknowledge and understand that certain international safety requirements, shipbuilding standards, and/or applicable regulations involving design, construction or operation of the Vessel may restrict access to facilities or activities for persons with mobility, communication or other impairments or special needs. Passengers requiring the use of a wheelchair must provide their own wheelchair (that must be of a size and type that can be accommodated on the Vessel) as wheelchairs carried on board are for emergency use only.

  • Family Care and Medical Leave An unpaid Family Care and Medical Leave shall be granted, to the extent of and subject to the restrictions as set forth below, to an employee who has been employed for at least twelve (12) months and who has served for 130 workdays during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the effective date of the leave. For purposes of this Section, furlough days and days worked during off-basis time shall count as "workdays". Family Care and Medical Leave absences of twenty (20) consecutive working days or less can be granted by the immediate administrator or designee. Leaves of twenty (20) or more consecutive working days can be granted only by submission of a formal leave application to the Personnel Commission.

  • Special Education Teachers Elementary/Secondary Special Education Coordinators shall be compensated for an extended work day in the amount of four thousand dollars ($4,000).

  • Blood Donations An employee may be granted leave with pay, up to a maximum of two (2) hours, for donating blood during regularly scheduled hours of work.

  • Non-Medical, Personalized Services The Practice shall also provide Members with the following non-medical services:

  • Ambulance The deductible and coinsurance for services not subject to copays applies.
