Partner Leave An employee shall provide to the employer, at least 10 weeks prior to each proposed period of parental leave: (a) (i) for the birth of a child, a certificate from a registered medical practitioner which names the employee’s partner, states that she is pregnant and the expected date of birth, or states the date on which the birth took place; or
Ownership by Limited Partner of Corporate General Partner or Affiliate No Limited Partner shall at any time, either directly or indirectly, own any stock or other interest in the General Partner or in any Affiliate thereof, if such ownership by itself or in conjunction with other stock or other interests owned by other Limited Partners would, in the opinion of counsel for the Partnership, jeopardize the classification of the Partnership as a partnership for federal tax purposes. The General Partner shall be entitled to make such reasonable inquiry of the Limited Partners as is required to establish compliance by the Limited Partners with the provisions of this Section.
Military Spouse Leave Up to fifteen (15) days of unpaid leave will be granted to an eligible employee who averages twenty (20) or more hours of work per week, whose spouse is on leave from deployment or before and up to deployment during a period of military conflict. An employee who takes leave under this provision may elect to substitute any of the accrued paid leave to which the employee is entitled for any part of the leave provided under this provision. The employee must provide his or her supervisor with notice of the employee’s intention to take leave within five (5) business days of receiving official notice that the employee’s spouse will be on leave or of an impending call to active duty. This provision shall be administered in accordance with RCW 49.77.
Family Illness Leave An employee will be granted leave of absence for up to five (5) days per year without loss of pay or benefits for family illness. Additional family illness leave may be granted by the employer.
Limited Partner The name and address of the New Limited Partner of the Partnership is 0000 X. Xxxx Xxxxx Xxxxxxxxx, 0xx Xxxxx, Xxxxx, Xxxxxxx 00000. The names and addresses of any other Limited Partners shall be set forth on Exhibit B, as amended from time to time, attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. The Partnership Interest of a Limited Partner shall be referred to herein as a “Limited Partnership Interest.”
Family Medical Leave or Critical Illness Leave a) Family Medical Leave or Critical Illness leaves granted to a permanent teacher, long-term occasional teacher or teacher hired into a term position under this Article shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act, as amended. b) The teacher will provide to the employer such evidence as necessary to prove entitlement under the Employment Standards Act. c) A teacher contemplating taking such leave(s) shall notify the employer of the intended date the leave is to begin and the anticipated date of return to active employment. d) Seniority and experience continue to accrue during such leave(s). e) Where a teacher is on such leave(s), the Employer shall continue to pay its share of the benefit premiums, where applicable. To maintain participation and coverage under the Collective Agreement, the teacher must agree to provide for payment for the teacher’s share of the benefit premiums, where applicable. f) In order to receive pay for such leaves, a teacher must access Employment Insurance and the Supplemental Employment Benefit (SEB) in accordance with g) to j), if allowable by legislation. An employee who is eligible for E.I. is not entitled to benefits under a school board’s sick leave and short term disability plan. g) The Employer shall provide for permanent teachers, long-term occasional teachers and teachers hired into a term position who access such Leaves, a SEB plan to top up their E.I.
Pre-Retirement Leave An Employee scheduled to retire and to receive a superannuation allowance under the applicable pension Acts or who has reached the mandatory retiring age, shall be entitled to: (a) A special paid leave for a period equivalent to fifty percent (50%) of his/her accumulated sick leave credit, to be taken immediately prior to retirement; or (b) A special cash payment of an amount equivalent to the cash value of fifty percent (50%) of his/her accumulated sick leave credit, to be paid immediately prior to retirement and based upon his/her current rate of pay.
Volunteer Firefighting Leave Leave without pay will be granted when an employee who is a volunteer firefighter is called to duty to respond to a fire, natural disaster or medical emergency.
PARTNER The term “Partner” shall mean any person who is a General Partner or a Limited Partner in the Partnership.
Marriage Leave An employee shall be granted unpaid leave of not more than five (5) days for the purpose of getting married. The employee shall give the Corporation at least five (5) calendar days’ notice.
