Staff Development Day Make-up Day Appeal. Should a teacher have extenuating circumstances that prevent him/her from attending a Staff Development Day, and should the teacher request that the make-up day requirement be waived, that teacher may make an appeal in writing. Written appeals will be reviewed by a District/BFT Staff Development Make-Up Day Committee comprised of a maximum of three (3) District appointed members and a maximum of three (3) BFT appointed members. Any waiving of the make-up day requirement must be by a unanimous vote of the Committee.

  • Compensation for Holidays Falling on Scheduled Days Off 1. When a holiday falls on a full-time employee's regularly scheduled day off, the employee shall receive eight (8) hours of compensatory time.

  • Trial Period (a) In order for an adequate assessment of the employee’s capacity to be made, an employer may employ a person under the provisions of this clause for a trial period not exceeding 12 weeks, except that in some cases additional work adjustment time (not exceeding 4 weeks) may be needed.

  • PRICING OF After Hours Coefficient What is your after hours coefficient for the RS Means Price Book for work performed after normal working hours? Remember that this is a ceiling price proposed. You can discount to any TIPS Member customer a lower coefficient than your proposed contract coefficient, but not higher. This is one of three pricing questions that are required for consideration for award on this solicitation. Please consider your answer carefully. An explanation of the TIPS scoring of pricing titled "Pricing Coefficient Instruction" is included in the attachments for your information.   • Four Day Work Week Schedule i. When working under the four (4) day work week schedule, Employees shall be paid at double time (2x) the regular hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of the regular ten (10) hours per day Monday through Thursday.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double-time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double-time and one-half for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday.

  • Professional Development Day The Employees shall be entitled to spend three (3) working days with pay for the purpose of doing research and preparation related to their work at a date mutually acceptable to the Employer and the Employee.

  • Special Enrollment Period An eligible individual and eligible dependents may be enrolled during special enrollment periods. A special enrollment period may apply when an eligible individual or eligible dependent loses other health coverage or when an eligible individual acquires a new eligible dependent through marriage, birth, adoption or placement for adoption.
