Common use of Standby Work Clause in Contracts

Standby Work. The parties agree that productive work will be done by standby electricians on RDOs or after hours. At these times the employees must be provided with effective site communication devices. 2.9.1 When two or more employees are on standby, do productive work on construction wiring, repairs, safety rectification, testing and tagging, paperwork or other work as agreed. 2.9.2 When on standby alone, do productive work in the compound or shed including testing and tagging, paperwork or other work as agreed. 2.9.3 When work is being undertaken as detailed in Clause 2.7.4, interaction between the standby electricians will occur to assist those undertaking the shutdown work.
