All employees covered by this Contract will be covered under the State Disability Insurance (SDI) benefit in lieu of a Non-Industrial Disability Insurance (NDI) and Enhanced Non- Industrial Disability Insurance (ENDI) benefit as follows: 1. Employees eligible for SDI benefits are those who are defined by section 2601, et seq. of the California Unemployment Insurance Code; such as, an employee disabled due to a non- work related illness or injury of the employee, the employee’s family member, domestic partner or the birth, adoption, or xxxxxx care placement of a new child.
