Status While on Leave. An unrequested leave of absence shall be effective as of the last duty day of the regular school year as per the school calendar, or at such earlier time as mutually agreed between the School Board and the individual teacher even though the date for final notice of placement on ULA is June 30. A teacher on such leave may engage in teaching or any other occupation during the period of such leave, and may be eligible for unemployment compensation pursuant to the criteria for eligibility under the Unemployment Compensation Act.
