Step 1 - Department Head. A Medical Officer or the Institute may submit a grievance in writing to the Department Head within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date that the grievor became aware that the circumstances giving rise to the grievance could not be resolved at the complaint state. The Department Head shall reply in writing within fourteen (14) calendar days of the receipt of the grievance. In the event that the Grievance is denied, an explanation for the decision shall accompany the reply.

Step 1 - Department Head. The employee who has an alleged grievance shall file a grievance in writing, using a form jointly developed by the parties, with the employee's department head. The grievance form will be signed by the employee and his xxxxxxx. The department head shall meet with the xxxxxxx within five (5) working days after the written grievance has been filed. It shall be the responsibility of the department head to investigate the allegations and provide the xxxxxxx with his written answer to the grievance within five (5) working days after the meeting. The grievant will attend this step of the grievance procedure when so authorized by the local Union grievance committee. The department head may also call the employee's immediate supervisor to attend this meeting.

  • Department Head A. Within ten (10) business days from his/her receipt of the decision resulting from the previous level, the employee may appeal to the Department Head using the original copy of the grievance.

  • Department of Transportation Bridge Maintenance employees, when actually climbing the cable stays of the Penobscot Narrows Bridge for inspection and/or repair, shall be compensated at the rate of ten dollars ($10.00) an hour in addition to their regular hourly rate of pay. Employees shall be compensated for a minimum of one (1) hour of such work regardless of the length of the climbing assignment.

  • HEALTH AND SAFETY C8.1 The Contractor shall promptly notify the Authority of any health and safety hazards which may arise in connection with the performance of the Contract.   • Health and Safety Plan 5. Xxxxxx shall prepare and submit under separate cover from the Work Plan, a Health and Safety Plan consistent with Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations. The Health and Safety Plan shall be submitted to the Department in the form of one electronic copy on compact disk (in .pdf format). Xxxxxx agrees that the Health and Safety Plan is submitted to the Department only for informational purposes.
