STEP II. Should a grievance be unresolved at Step I, the Union may refer the matter to Step II by writing to the General Manager, with a copy to the Supervisor within ten (10) working days of receipt of the decision at Step I. Within five (5) working days of receipt of the Union’s referral to Step II, the City Manager or his/her nominee will discuss the grievance with representatives of the Union. Within ten (10) working days of receipt of the Union’s referral to Step II, the General Manager or his/her nominee will submit his/her decision to the Union in writing. Within fifteen (15) working days of receipt of the written reply at Step II, the Union may refer the grievance to arbitration as set out in Article 12.08.
