Step Increases for Unit K Employees. Hired After January 1, 2009 For new Port employees hired after January 1, 2009 and who are in Unit K, the following Step Increase Language will apply and those employees will be eligible for Port Performance Premium and Merit Pay Premium. Advancement within the salary schedule hereinafter fixed for the office or position of employment under which an employee serves shall be from Step "a" to Step "b" on the basis of six (6) months of satisfactory service in such office or position at Step "a" and from Step "b" to Step "c" on the basis of one (1) year of satisfactory service in such office or position at Step "b", provided, however, that an employee promoted into a position covered by this MOU shall be placed in the salary step which is approximately 5% higher than the employee's previous base salary.

  • Wage Increase 1. The minimum hourly wage amounts in the salary table in column I (job grades 1 up to and includ- ing 3) concern the statutory minimum wage and are adjusted in the event of an increase in the statutory minimum wage.
