Common use of Subsistence Clause in Contracts

Subsistence. When host agency subsistence incident camps are available, meals and bedding for LGFF's operator(s) will be furnished without charge. The host incident agency will furnish meals and lodging without cost if hotel/restaurant subsistence is the approved camp for incident personnel. LGFFs may be paid per diem & lodging expenses to and from incidents by the agency responsible for payment. Exception: Travel expenses and travel time for crew swaps that occur within the tour of duty to meet LGFF department staffing needs are done so at the cost of such departments.
