Suicide Prevention Training Program a. By November 1, 2010, the County will review and revise its suicide prevention training program, as necessary to effectuate this Stipulated Settlement. b. An initial eight-hour suicide prevention training will be completed by all corrections staff. The suicide prevention training program and curriculum will include the following topics if not already included in other annual training: i. suicide prevention policy (as revised consistent with this Stipulated Settlement); ii. analysis of facility environments and why they may contribute to suicidal behavior; iii. potential predisposing factors to suicide; iv. high risk suicide periods; v. warning signs and symptoms of suicidal behavior; vi. relevant case studies of suicides and serious suicide attempts; vii. mock emergency response drill related to a suicide attempt; and viii. the proper use of emergency equipment. c. The suicide prevention training program will train corrections staff on the suicide risk assessment tool and the medical intake tool. d. The suicide prevention training program will train corrections staff in observing inmates on suicide watch and step-down unit status. e. The County agrees that all corrections staff will be certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. f. The County will provide a first aid kit, including a CPR mask, accessible to all housing units, and will continue to maintain emergency rescue tools on corrections staff assigned to housing units. g. The County will document Suicide Prevention Training of corrections staff, qualified health professionals, and qualified mental health professionals.
Suicide Prevention Training Program a. Within 90 days of the Effective Date, a suicide prevention training program is continued and updated as set forth herein. The suicide prevention training program shall include the following topics: (1) suicide prevention policies and procedures; (2) analysis of facility environments and why they may contribute to suicidal behavior; (3) potential predisposing factors to suicide; (4) high-risk suicide periods; (5) warning signs and symptoms of suicidal behavior; (6) case studies of recent suicides and serious suicide attempts; (7) differentiating suicidal and self-injurious behavior; (8) mock demonstrations regarding the proper response to a suicide attempt; and (9) the proper use of emergency equipment.

  • Training Program It is agreed that there shall be an Apprenticeship Training Program, the provisions of which are set forth in Exhibit "D", which is attached hereto and forms part of this Agreement.

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Section 1. The Employer agrees to provide to the Union the statistical and program evaluation information provided to management concerning Employee Assistance Program(s). Section 2. No information gathered by an Employee Assistance Program may be used to discipline an employee. Section 3. Employees shall be entitled to use accrued sick leave for participation in an Employee Assistance Program. Section 4. Each university will offer training to local Union Stewards on the Employee Assistance Program available in their university, on university time, where an Employee Assistance Program is available.

  • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.

  • Employee Assistance Program Neither the fact of an employee's participation in an employee assistance program, nor information generated by participation in the program, shall be used as a reason for discipline under this Article, except for information relating to an employee's failure to participate in an employee assistance program consistent with the terms to which the employee and the University have agreed.

  • Erosion Prevention and Control Purchaser’s Operations shall be conducted reasonably to minimize soil erosion. Equipment shall not be operated when ground conditions are such that excessive damage will result. Purchaser shall adjust the kinds and intensity of erosion control work done to ground and weather condi- tions and the need for controlling runoff. Erosion control work shall be kept current immediately preceding ex- pected seasonal periods of precipitation or runoff.

  • Employee and Family Assistance Program (a) A province-wide Employee and Family Assistance Program for employees and members of their immediate family, with whom the employee normally resides, shall be provided. (b) This Employer-funded, confidential, assessment/referral service will be monitored by a Joint Committee. The Committee shall consist of two members: one member appointed by the Employer and one member by the Union. Employees representing the Union on this Joint Committee shall be on leave of absence without loss of basic pay for time on this Committee. (c) The Employer will consult with the Union regarding the selection of a service provider. The Employer will not select a service provider to which the Union has reasonable objections. (d) The Joint Committee shall develop an awareness package that can be incorporated into existing supervisor and Union training programs.

  • Workplace Violence Prevention and Crisis Response (applicable to any Party and any subcontractors and sub-grantees whose employees or other service providers deliver social or mental health services directly to individual recipients of such services): Party shall establish a written workplace violence prevention and crisis response policy meeting the requirements of Act 109 (2016), 33 VSA §8201(b), for the benefit of employees delivering direct social or mental health services. Party shall, in preparing its policy, consult with the guidelines promulgated by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration for Preventing Workplace Violence for Healthcare and Social Services Workers, as those guidelines may from time to time be amended. Party, through its violence protection and crisis response committee, shall evaluate the efficacy of its policy, and update the policy as appropriate, at least annually. The policy and any written evaluations thereof shall be provided to employees delivering direct social or mental health services. Party will ensure that any subcontractor and sub-grantee who hires employees (or contracts with service providers) who deliver social or mental health services directly to individual recipients of such services, complies with all requirements of this Section.

  • Dependent Care Assistance Program The County offers the option of enrolling in a Dependent Care Assistance Program (DCAP) designed to qualify for tax savings under Section 129 of the Internal Revenue Code, but such savings are not guaranteed. The program allows employees to set aside up to five thousand dollars ($5,000) of annual salary (before taxes) per calendar year to pay for eligible dependent care (child and elder care) expenses. Any unused balance is forfeited and cannot be recovered by the employee.

  • Employee Assistance Programs Consistent with the University's Employee Assistance Program, employees participating in an employee assistance program who receive a notice of layoff may continue to participate in that program for a period of ninety (90) days following the layoff.

  • Training Plan 19.6.1 An apprentice shall be a party to an individual Training Plan. 19.6.2 The Training Plan sets out the training that the apprentice will do both on – the – job and off – the – job. The Training Plan also sets out how the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) will ensure the apprentice will receive quality training – both on – the – job and off – the – job. 19.6.3 The Training Plan reflects the choices made by the employer and the apprentice in relation to:-
