Common use of Supervisory Employee Clause in Contracts

Supervisory Employee. ‌ 2 An employee having authority in the interest of the employer to hire, transfer, 3 suspend, layoff, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline other 4 employees, or having responsibility to direct them, or to adjust their grievances, or 5 effectively to recommend such action, if in connection therewith, the exercise of such 6 authority is not of a merely routine or clerical nature, but requires the use of 7 independent judgement.
