Taking of Vacation and/or Floating Holiday Leave. Vacation leave earned may be taken at the request of the employee after approval by his/her immediate supervisor, with due regard to both the employee and the needs of the Employer. Vacation leave less than one full day in duration shall be taken at a minimum of two (2) hours at the beginning or end of a piece of work and at the beginning or end of a run at either the Longview Transit Center or Xxxxx Train Station. Time charged for vacation leave shall be recorded to the nearest one- tenth (0.10) of an hour. Operators shall not use leave without pay to supplement vacation leave.

  • Holiday Leave Holiday leave provisions shall be as noted below:

  • Vacation and Sick Leave At such reasonable times as the Board of Directors shall in its discretion permit, the Employee shall be entitled, without loss of pay, to absent himself voluntarily from the performance of his employment under this Agreement, with all such voluntary absences to count as vacation time; provided that:

  • Religious Holiday Leave An employee may use two (2) sick days for religious observances if he/she has no personal business leave days. When an employee requests the use of this leave for days not known to be a religious holiday, the Board may request documentation.

  • Granting of Vacation Leave 18.02 (1) In granting vacation leave with pay to an employee, the Employer shall make every reasonable effort:

  • Scheduling of Vacation Leave In scheduling vacation leave with pay for an employee the Employer shall, subject to the operational requirements of the service, make every reasonable effort to comply with the employee's wishes.

  • Pay for Unused Sick Leave Unused sick leave not to exceed 70 days will be paid at the rate of $50 per day when the teacher retires or leaves U.S.D. 506 employment, provided the teacher has a minimum of 10 years of service in U.S.D. 506. Article VI: Activity Ticket Each teacher of U.S.D. 506 shall be issued an activity ticket, which shall be honored at all regular school functions held within the district. Said ticket shall not be honored at basketball tournaments and special events. Said ticket shall be honored for employee, spouse, and children who have not yet graduated from high school. The Board of Education will have an expectation that those teachers in attendance at school functions will assume a reasonable amount of general supervision as needed.

  • Reinstatement of Vacation Days - Sick Leave In the event an employee is sick or injured prior to the commencement of his/her vacation, such employee shall be granted sick leave and the vacation period so displaced shall be added to the vacation period if requested by the employee and by mutual agreement, or shall be reinstated for use at a later date.

  • ANNUAL LEAVE (VACATION) A.   • Liquidation of Vacation Leave 31.5.1 Upon application by the employee and at the discretion of the Council, earned but unused vacation leave credits in excess of one hundred twelve decimal five (112.5) hours may be paid at the employee's daily rate of pay in his substantive position unless the employee has been in an acting position for more than six (6) months at the time of the request.
