Committee On Political Education (XXXX). The Employer agrees to deduct from the paycheck of each employee who has authorized it, contributions to the ATU Committee on Political Education (COPE). Authorization by the employee shall be on a standard form provided by the International Office of the Amalgamated Transit Union and may be revoked by the employee upon request. The amount deducted shall be transmitted monthly to the Union. The performance of this function by the Employer is recognized as a service to the Union. 3.2.1 If an employee has no compensation earned for the month, or insufficient compensation to cover the COPE contributions, no deduction shall be made from the employee’s pay for that month.

  • Recognition of Union Stewards and Grievance Committee In order to provide an orderly and speedy procedure for the settling of grievances, the Employer acknowledges the rights and duties of the Union Stewards. The Xxxxxxx shall assist any Employee, which the Xxxxxxx represents, in preparing and presenting her grievance in accordance with the grievance procedure.

  • Special Education Special education services, related services, and accommodations for students who are eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any applicable provisions of state law, shall be provided in accordance with applicable state and federal law, this Agreement and Authorizer rules and policies. The Authorizer is the LEA for purposes of ensuring compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and all other federal and state laws and regulations concerning accommodation of and education of students with disabilities.

  • Committee on Trade in Goods 1. The Parties hereby establish a Committee on Trade in Goods comprising officials of each Party. The meetings of the Committee and any ad-hoc working group shall be coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Korea and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru, or their respective successors. 2. The Committee shall meet upon request of a Party or the Joint Commission to consider matters arising under this Chapter, Chapter Three (Rules of Origin), Four (Origin Procedures) or Five (Customs Administration and Trade Facilitation).

  • Central Committee on Violence in the Workplace The Central parties agree to create a Central Committee to review and develop best practice recommendations related to Violence in the Workplace. The Committee will take into consideration recent provincial reports related to violence in the workplace issues. The best practice recommendations will be distributed to the Joint Health and Safety Committees at each individual Home to be recommended for implementation. The best practice recommendations will include but will not be limited to: Review/modify: the processes, procedures, measures and follow through on:

  • Health & Safety Committee The Employer agrees to establish a Health & Safety Committee for all employees of the company under the auspices of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). The Committee shall be made up of an equal number (not less than one each) of non-bargaining unit and bargaining unit persons who have completed their probationary period. The Union has the right to appoint the members representing the bargaining unit. The Committee shall keep minutes of its meetings and post them in the shop. One copy will be forwarded to the Union office.
