Temporary Appointments (P). a. A teacher may be placed on a temporary appointment only to full-time or part-time positions that are temporarily vacant, temporarily existing, or that become vacant during that year. b. The Board shall provide to the Union a list of teachers on a temporary contract, and a list of those persons on long term leave of absence as of September 1 by October 1 and January 1 by February 1 of each school year. The Board will advise the Union by October 1 of any positions it considers to be temporarily existing for that school year. c. Teachers on temporary contract shall be offered continuing contracts of employment not later than the completion of one year’s continuous service in the employment of the Board in temporarily existing positions. For the purpose of this Article, ten (10) months of continuous service shall constitute one year’s service.
