Emergency Appointments. Absence from work to attend emergency medical or dental appointments and medical appointments arising from a work related accident covered by Workers’ Compensation, shall be paid for from the employee’s accumulated sick leave.
Emergency Appointments a) In the event that a candidate is offered a position that was posted and does not sign back the Appointment Letter, or accepts the appointment and abandons the appointment twenty (20) Days prior to the start of the Course the University shall fill the resulting vacancy with a qualified Internal Applicant. If no qualified Internal Applicant is available, the University may fill the resulting vacancy through whatever means it may choose.
Emergency Appointments. Contractor shall use commercially reasonable efforts to schedule emergency appointments for Purchasers within twenty- four (24) hours of such Purchaser request.

Emergency Appointments. Employees who have emergency medical or dental appointments may leave the building for such appointments after student dismissal and/or upon approval by the building principal and at the time designated by the principal.
Emergency Appointments. In an emergency, the Town Manager may authorize the appointment of any qualified person in the position to prevent stoppage of public business or loss, or serious inconvenience to the public. However, a vacancy of which the department head has had reasonable notice, or an employment condition of which he had, or might with due diligence have had previous knowledge, shall not be considered an emergency under this section. The emergency appointments shall expire as specified or automatically within four months from the date of such appointment except that the Town Manager may approve the extension of an emergency appointment up to a maximum of eight additional months.

The Town, to facilitate the carrying on of public business or avoid loss or serious inconvenience to the public, when an emergency arises which will not permit the appointment of eligible persons, may appoint any qualified person during such emergency for a period of not more than ninety (90) work days unless mutually agreed to otherwise. Qualified bargaining unit employees shall have preference for such appointments. Employees, who are so appointed to a higher classification within the bargaining unit for a full work day, shall be paid as if promoted to the position.
Emergency Appointments. To meet the immediate requirements of an emergency condition, such as extraordinary fire, flood or earthquake, which threatens public life or property, any person designated by the City Manager may employ such persons as may be needed for the duration of the emergency without regard to the personnel ordinance or rules affecting appointments. As soon as possible, such appointments shall be reported to the Director of Human Resources.
