Temporary Assignment of Duties. ‌ 2901 In the event an employee is assigned temporarily to a higher paid position by the Department Head or his representative to other duties within the bargaining unit, for the majority of a given shift, he shall be paid the minimum rate or the next highest step above his present salary in the pay range of the higher position whose duties he is assigned to perform.
