Common use of Temporary Certificate of Registration Rate Clause in Contracts

Temporary Certificate of Registration Rate. An employee holding a Temporary Certificate of Registration upon presenting proof of receiving her General Certificate of Registration by the College of Nurses of Ontario, shall be paid the salary of Registered Nurse. The salary change shall be retroactive to the date of sitting for the certification examination in which she was successful or the date of last hire, whichever is later. (a) Employees who change their status from full-time to part-time and vice versa, will maintain their same level on the salary grid. In addition, an employee who is so transferred will receive full credit for service accumulated since the date of last advancement. (b) All changes in salary, whether the result of promotion, demotion, filing with the Employer proof of registration or attainment of a service anniversary, shall become effective in the closest pay period to the date of the change. (a) A nurse who holds a Temporary or Provisional Certificate of Registration as a Registered Nurse shall be paid in accordance with the Registered Nurse classification, less thirty cents ($0.30) per hour. (b) The Head Nurse classification shall be paid in accordance with the Registered Nurse classification, plus forty cents ($0.40) per hour.
