Common use of Temporary Help Clause in Contracts

Temporary Help. During regular periods of employment, the University must first offer available work that is created through vacancies in positions to bargaining unit employees in “floater” positions and then to other bargaining unit employees, as set forth in ARTICLE IV, Section 4 of this Agreement, before offering that work to extra-help employees. During periods of layoff, the University must offer any available work to bargaining unit employees on the basis of seniority before offering that work to extra-help employees.
