Common use of Temporary Leaves--Professional Purposes Clause in Contracts

Temporary Leaves--Professional Purposes. The Board recognizes the importance of the continued professional growth of its faculty members. Therefore it may, within budgetary limits, provide for substitute teachers, expenses, and paid leaves of absence, not deducted from sick leave, for attendance at such workshops and professional meetings as the administration determines will further the goals of the College. The granting or denial of any such leave shall be at the sole discretion of the Board and shall be non-precedential.
