Common use of Temporary Seniority Clause in Contracts

Temporary Seniority. a) Temporary employees shall accrue seniority for the purpose of applying for posted regular positions and for the purpose of shift assignment. Their temporary service shall be recognized in relation to other employees when applying for posted vacancies and for the purpose of shift assignment. Temporary service shall be recorded on the basis of days worked and the record shall be sent to the Union and posted on all bulletin boards semi-annually on or before May 31st and November 30th of each year.
