Termination of Employment – Abandonment. An Employee absent from work without approval and without contact with the Company (their supervisor or manager) for a period exceeding 3 or more days will be regarded as, prima facie, having abandoned their employment. In such circumstances the Company will send a registered letter to the Employees nominated address. If, subsequent to mailing the letter, no contact is made by the Employee to the Company within 14 days of their last worked day, their employment will be deemed to be terminated at the employee’s initiation.

Termination of Employment – Abandonment. An Employee absent from work without approval and without contact with the Company (their supervisor or manager) for a period exceeding 3 or more days will be regarded as, prima facie, having abandoned their employment. Termination of employment in accordance with this subclause shall operate as from the date of the last attendance at work or the last days absence in respect of which consent was granted or the date of the last absence in respect of which consent was granted or the date of the last absence in respect of which notice was given to the Company, whichever is later.
