FUTURE LEGISLATION AND THE COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT 5.01 If any law now in force or enacted during the term of this Agreement renders null and void any provision of this Agreement, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect for the term of the Agreement. Jury Duty and Court Appearance 11.4.1 When summoned to serve on a jury; when subpoenaed as a witness in criminal proceedings, or as a witness in a civil action if not a party thereto; when appearing as a defendant in a criminal or traffic case if acquitted therefrom; the employee, to qualify for permission from the Xxxx/delegate to be absent with pay, shall produce the summons or subpoena or submit such other evidence showing the necessity for court appearance.
