Rights of the Grievant and the Association. A. The grievant has the right to Association representation at all meetings and hearings involving the grievance. B. Grievance forms shall be exhibited in the Appendix of this Contract, and it shall be the exclusive right of the Association to issue forms to grievants. D. The Association shall have the exclusive right to determine whether to proceed to the arbitration step of the procedure. E. The Association shall receive copies of all communications in the processing of grievances.

Rights of the Grievant and the Association. 021 A grievant shall be accompanied at all times and at all formal steps of the grievance procedure by a representative of the Association.
Rights of the Grievant and the Association a. A grievant may appear on his/her own behalf or may be represented at any and all steps of the grievance procedure by the Association. b. The Association shall receive notice of each meeting held to resolve the grievance and shall be given a copy of the recommended disposition of such grievance at each step. Such written notice and disposition shall be made at the same time and in the same manner as such notice or disposition is required to be sent to the grievant. c. The fact that an employee files a grievance shall not be recorded in his/her personnel file or in any file used in the transfer assignment or promotion process; nor shall such fact be used in any recommendation for reemployment or recommendation for other employment; nor shall the grievant, the Association or its officers be placed in jeopardy or be the subject for reprisal or discrimination for having followed this grievance procedure. If a grievance appears to arise from the actions of an administrative officer other than the principal of a school and affects a support teacher, a group or class of support teachers or is concerned with a system-wide policy, it may be submitted at Step II described below. The purpose of these procedures is to secure, at the lowest possible administrative level, equitable solutions to grievances. All parties agree that proceedings shall be kept confidential.

Rights of the Grievant and the Association. 1. A grievant may, at his/her sole discretion, be accompanied at all steps of the Grievance Procedure by a representative of the Association. The Association shall be given the opportunity to be present at any grievance remedy. Any grievance adjustment shall not be inconsistent with the terms of this Agreement. 2. The purpose of these procedures is to secure, at the lowest level administrator having authority to resolve the grievance, equitable solutions to grievances. All parties agree that grievances will be kept as confidential as is appropriate and processed as expeditiously as possible. In the case of a disciplinary suspension or termination, any grievance filed challenging such action shall be filed initially at Step II of the grievance procedure. 3. Any grievance may be withdrawn, without prejudice or record at any step prior to Step III. 4. No reprisals of any kind will be taken by either party against any party in interest, any building representative or any other participant in the Grievance Procedure by reason of such participation. 5. The filing of a grievance, participation in a grievance or the grievance form itself will not become a part of the personnel file of any teacher.

Rights of the Grievant and the Association. (a) A grievant at his/her request may be represented by the Association at all formal and informal steps. The Association shall have the opportunity to be present at all grievance meetings including those during which grievance adjustments are discussed. (b) The purpose of this procedure is to secure, through the lowest level administrator having authority to resolve the grievance, an acceptable solution to the grievance. The parties agree that grievances will be kept as confidential as is appropriate and processed as expeditiously as possible. (c) The Board through its administrative staff will provide the Association all available pertinent data and material requested by the Association to permit the processing of a grievance in a timely fashion. (d) A grievant may withdraw a grievance at any step without record. Once withdrawn, the grievant is barred from re-filing that grievance. (e) Unless part of a settlement or by direction of an arbitrator's award, no grievance form(s), record, document, or communication arising from a grievance shall be placed in the personnel file of any participant involved in the use of this procedure. No reprisal shall be made against any party involved in the use of this procedure.

A grievant may withdraw a grievance at any level. Once withdrawn, a grievant is barred from refiling that grievance. e. Unless part of a settlement or by direction of an arbitrator's award, no grievance form(s), record, document, or communication arising from a grievance shall be placed in the personnel file of any participant involved in the use of this procedure. No reprisal shall be made against any party involved in the use of this procedure. f. All written grievances shall include the specific section(s) of the alleged violation(s), misinterpretation(s), or misapplication(s) of the contract and shall include the relief sought and date of the filing.
