  • Chair and Vice Chair The Council shall appoint from amongst its members a Chair and Vice Chair who shall retire in the same manner as provided for members in Clause 5. The Chair shall be held in alternate years by a member of the Employers' Side and a member of the Trade Union Side. In the absence of the Chair, the Vice Chair shall preside at the meetings of the Council. If neither the Chair nor the Vice Chair is present, a Chair shall be elected for the meeting. The Chair shall have a vote, but not a casting vote. The Chair and Vice Chair shall be ex officio members of any committees.

  • The Vice-President The Vice President shall have such powers and perform such duties as the Member may from time to time prescribe or as the President may from time to time delegate to him or her. At the request of the President, the Vice President may temporarily act in place of the President. In the case of the death, absence, or inability to act of the President, the Member may designate the Vice President to perform the duties of the President.

  • Vice Chair The Vice Chair shall perform such duties as prescribed by the Board or the Chair and shall act for the Chair in his or her absence.

  • VACANCIES AND JOB POSTINGS 17.01 When a job vacancy or vacancies occur within the bargaining unit and the Employer intends to fill the vacancy, the Employer will post an announcement of such vacancy or vacancies on all Union bulletin boards. Said postings shall remain posted for a period of five (5) working days. The announcement shall contain the job title of the vacancy, a brief job description and the rate of pay, and the date of the posting and bid deadline date.

  • ROLE OF THE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY CONTACTS 5.01 Primary and Secondary Contact(s). The Resident, in executing this Agreement, is required to identify a “Primary Contact” and a “Secondary Contact”. It is strongly recommended that these contacts are parents or legal guardians of the Resident. The Primary Contact serves as the individual that is contacted by the Manager if concerns or problems arise with the Resident, as detailed in section 5.02 below. If the Primary Contact is not available, the Secondary Contact will be contacted.

  • VACANCIES AND NEW POSITIONS 17.01 The Gallery shall post notice of permanent and temporary job vacancies subject to Article 4 – Temporary Full-Time Employees for a period of seven (7) calendar days before any such job is filled. Probationary employees shall not be entitled to apply for posted vacancies. It is agreed that the Gallery will not interview external applicants until applications from existing employees have been reviewed and bargaining unit employees who are qualified in the opinion of the Gallery have been interviewed. Further, the Gallery will notify existing applicants in writing once the successful application is selected.

  • Loss of Service and Seniority An employee shall lose all service and seniority and shall be deemed to have terminated if he:

In cases where two candidates are relatively equal in their aggregate scores, the more senior member in the division will be ranked higher for the purpose of both promotion and acting assignments.

  • Vice Chairperson The Vice Chairperson shall act in place of the Chairperson in the event of the Chairperson’s absence, inability, or refusal to act, and shall exercise and discharge such other duties as may be required by the Committee. The Vice Chairperson shall serve as the parliamentarian and interpret any ambiguities of the bylaws.
