Ticket Office Agent. Position summary: Successfully promote and sell the Company's products and provide quality service to potential customers by processing passenger sales and issuing tickets. Major responsibilities: The duties of a include: provide information and answer enquiries from the general public, commercial accounts, travel agents, airline employees and the Company's offices; through direct contact the effective use of available telecommunication equipment, book reservations and all auxiliary services, construct fares, issue, reissue and revalidate tickets and related accountable documents, process applications for prepaid tickets and and forward refund documents to the appropriate monitor, follow up and complete on group activities and charter flights, compile sales reports, summaries and manage- ment information reports; maintain ticket stock and inventories; maintain current manuals and pertinent sources of information; attend public functions as a uniformed representative of the Com- pany when required; perform all related clerical functions necessary to ensure the operation of the department; handle functions related to payment of services provided; and perform all other associated or incidental duties and responsi- bilities. Position specifications include: knowledge of passenger ticket and regulations; good communication skills for dealing effectively with people; fluency in English, French and Italian.
Ticket Office Agent. A Ticket Office Agent shall sell and issue tickets; furnish air and ground transportation information to passengers and the general public; check and prepare all passenger documentation and make reservations. He shall know how to use Company manuals and general schedules; he shall file revisions in Company manuals, collect fares and perform routine office activities related to a Ticket Agent whenever called upon to do so, including sending and receiving of teletype messages. He shall have complete familiarity with tariff construction of all domestic and international fares and rules applicability, and restriction of tariffs and Company rules and regulations. He must be familiar with reservations procedures and immigration requirements; he must know ticketing procedures both for issuance and re-issuance; he shall account and be responsible for the funds received; he shall make the sales report and deposit funds collected as directed by the Supervisor.
