Common use of Time and One-Half Clause in Contracts

Time and One-Half. The following provisions apply to all areas of work in the Bargaining Units except those specifically covered by the original Letters of Agreement, the contents of which are contained in this Agreement. a) Time and one-half the regular straight time rate will be paid for all time worked in excess of eight (8) hours in an employee’s work day. b) Time and one-half the regular straight time rate will be paid for all hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours in an employee’s work-week c) Time and one-half the regular straight time rate will be paid for all time worked on a designated holiday in addition to holiday pay. d) Alternate schedules: 1) Ten (10) hour shifts – Time and one-half the regular straight time rate will be paid for all time worked in excess of ten (10) hours in an employee’s work day or over forty (40) hours in a work week. 2) Twelve (12) hour shifts – Time and one-half the regular straight time rate will be paid for all time worked in excess of twelve (12) hours in an employee’s work day or over forty (40) hours in a work week. *Subject to Supplemental Agreement as additional departments are recognized.
