Common use of Time Off for Association Business Clause in Contracts

Time Off for Association Business. (a) The Commission agrees to grant leave of absence with pay (including sufficient travel time) to employees who are representatives of the Association on the Association's Bargaining Committee required to carry on negotiations with the Commission. The Association agrees to bear all related expenses for such representatives. The maximum number of these representatives shall be two. (b) The Commission recognizes that occasions may arise when a designated representative on the aforesaid Bargaining Committee is unable to attend at negotiations, and the Commission agrees to grant leave of absence with pay to an alternate representative on such occasions. (c) The Association agrees to furnish the Commission with a list of designated Bargaining Committee members and their alternates and, upon request, to provide the Commission with a list of the Association participants at each negotiating session. (d) Should additional employees be required to attend negotiations for the purpose of providing technical information or advice, a leave of absence without pay may be granted, subject to operational requirements.
