TOOLS AND UNIFORMS. (a) The Employer shall supply: - pipe wrenches, vices, taps and dies - electrical tools - electric measuring instruments - machinist measuring instruments - air and gas measuring devices - gas containers - welding equipment, including wearing apparel and safety accessories - specialty tools - vacuum pumps - power tools - refrigerant recovery units - wrenches over 1" (b) If the Employer requires electronic devices such as pagers, cell phones, wireless devices, notebooks etc., the Employer will be responsible for the costs of supply, operation and maintenance of same. The employee will maintain this equipment as directed by the Employer and take all reasonable steps to ensure the equipment is secure at all times. 26:02 Each Journeyman and Apprentice after completion of his or her first year shall have and maintain a complete set of hand tools necessary to install air conditioning and/or refrigeration equipment. Employees will not supply tools listed in Article 26:01. 26:03 The employee will provide the Employer at the time of employment a list of personal tools as mentioned in Article 26:02. This list shall be itemized and completely priced by item. It shall be the responsibility of the employee to keep this list up to date, and as a minimum, must be done annually. When this list has been reviewed and accepted by the Employer as to items and value, and the Employer accepts liability for replacement as outlined in Article 26:09. 26:04 Those tools supplied by the Employer will be maintained by the Employer. If these tools are lost or damaged through the negligence of the Employer or other employees, then the Employer is responsible for the repair or replacing same. 26:05 Those tools supplied by the Employee will be maintained by the Employee. TOOLS AND UNIFORMS. 7.1. The City and the IBEW Local 1245 mutually agree that the City will supply necessary tools and equipment for employees in accordance with the following procedure. Consistent with the needs of the employee as related to his/her job classification, and to aid the employee in the performance of his/her work in a safe and efficient manner, the City will provide the following list of basic hand tools, work gloves and equipment: Skinning knife Utility bag Safety glasses Work gloves Ruler, 6', wood Rubber boots Pliers, side cut Hammer, claw Rain gear Screwdriver, 10" Wrench, adjustable 12" Wrench, adjustable 8" or 10" Safety strap Adjustable (apump) The Employer shall supply: - pipe wrenches, vices, taps and dies - electrical tools - electric measuring instruments - machinist measuring instruments - air and gas measuring devices - gas containers - welding equipment, including wearing apparel and safety accessories - specialty tools - vacuum pumps - power tools - refrigerant recovery units - wrenches over 1pliers 10" (b) If 7.2. In addition, effective with the Employer requires electronic devices such as pagers, cell phones, wireless devices, notebooks etc.first quarterly payment following City Council approval of the MOU, the Employer City will provide a boot allowance of $500.00 per calendar year to all Electric Lineman/Linewoman, Electric Xxxxxxx/Forewoman, Construction/Maintenance Supervisor, Electric Troubleshooter and Troubleshooting Supervisor. In addition, the City shall provide a boot allowance of $200.00 per calendar year for all other classifications. This amount to be paid quarterly as part of a regular pay check. 7.3. The above tools will be furnished in accordance with the following controls: . Each employee will be responsible for the costs care, preservation and proper use of supply, operation tools and maintenance of sameequipment issued to him/her. The employee will maintain this Tools and equipment as directed by the Employer and take all reasonable steps to ensure the equipment is secure at all times. 26:02 Each Journeyman and Apprentice after completion of his or her first year shall have and maintain a complete set of hand tools necessary to install air conditioning and/or refrigeration equipment. If these tools are lost or damaged through improper use will be replaced at the negligence employee's expense. . All unsafe, broken or worn out tools will be replaced on an exchange basis. 7.4. The City and IBEW mutually agree to move the discussion on uniform standards to an ad-hoc committee and agree to conduct the initial committee meeting no later than 60 days from ratification of this MOU. Should no mutual agreement be reached between the Employer or other employeesparties, then the Employer is responsible uniform standards will remain status quo for the repair or replacing same. 26:05 Those tools supplied by the Employee will be maintained by the Employee. If an employee’s tools are lost due to fire, flood or forcible entry of job box, job shack, vehicle, etc., management must be notified immediately. Listed personal tools as required in Article (to the value listed) will be replaced immediately by the Employer. In the event of theft by forcible entry, the police and management must be notified immediately.
