Common use of Training Benefits/Period Clause in Contracts

Training Benefits/Period. (a) Where new or greater skills are required than are already possessed by affected employees under the present methods of operation, such employee shall, at the expense of the Employer, be given a period of time not to exceed six (6) months during which they shall acquire the skills necessitated by the new method of operation. There shall be no reduction in wages or salary rates during the training period of any such employee and no reduction in pay upon being reclassified in the new position.
