Education Benefits. Notwithstanding the provisions of Article 5, academic staff members who qualify for benefits in accordance with Article 23.5.
1.1 may take a credit, or non-credit language class offered by the University of Xxxxxx provided it does not interfere with performance of duties as determined by the Xxxx. The member and the Xxxx may discuss ways in which duties may be reassigned to make it possible for the member to take the class. Upon successful completion, reimbursement of tuition will be provided for one class per semester.
Education Benefits. Education benefits for unit members conform to University Regulation R04.06.010 (dated 12-06-12) and as outlined below.
a. After six months from date of hire, unit members shall have graduate and/or undergraduate course credit hours charges (tuition) waived for up to eight credits per semester for a maximum of sixteen credits per academic year, beginning with the fall semester and ending with the summer term, unless otherwise agreed to in the unit member’s initial letter of appointment.
b. Unit members eligible for education benefits who will be employed by the University for the following academic year and who are not employed by the University during the summer shall have graduate and/or undergraduate course credit hour charges (tuition) waived up to sixteen credits per summer within the sixteen credits per year limitation.
c. Once eligible for education benefits, a unit member’s spouse, financially interdependent partner and dependent children under the age of twenty-four shall have course credit hour charges (tuition) waived.
d. Unit members who qualify as permanently disabled under the applicable state retirement system or have included University coursework as part of a leave of absence approved pursuant to this Article are entitled to the same educational benefits as regular unit members.
e. Education benefits provided in this Article do not apply to programs in which tuition or surcharges exceed the University norm.
f. Employees, spouses, and dependent children must maintain a 2.0 or better cumulative GPA to be eligible for undergraduate education benefits. Employees, spouses, and dependent children must maintain a 3.0 or better cumulative GPA to be eligible for graduate-level education benefits. Grade appeals will be reviewed in accordance with the procedures for challenges to academic decisions set forth in University regulations and MAU rules and procedures.
Education Benefits. Employee Education Benefits (tuition waiver) shall be provided in accordance with Regent’s Policy and University Regulation, as amended from time to time.
Education Benefits. The Employer shall pay the full cost of tuition at the Cayuga County Community College rate for up to six (6) credit hours per semester upon completion of the course in Criminal Justice or other Police related courses, approved by the City Manager, and taken at Cayuga County Community College or other approved colleges offering Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice for any employee covered by this Agreement. Such courses shall be taken on the employee’s time without pay. Any employee eligible for Tuition Assistance Program Grants in regards to courses for which tuition is to be paid in whole or in part by the Employer shall be required to apply for said grant, if eligible, and the amount of any grant received shall be credited towards the tuition payment to be made by the Employer.
Education Benefits. A. WDT employees
1. WDT employees shall be entitled to enroll in any Corporate Education Center (excluding online and contracted customized) or credit- granting courses offered by WDT on a space-available basis, when those classes are in whole or part an approved activity by the supervisor that will lead to improvement in faculty credentialing, degree status or professional development. The employee enrolled in Corporate Education or WDT courses is responsible only for textbooks, tools, and any required consumable supplies.
2. Employees may receive up to $800.00 tuition reimbursement, per fiscal year, for credit granting courses taken at an accredited college other than WDT that lead to improvement in degree status, faculty credentialing or professional development.
X. Xxxxxx, Employee’s Family, Retired Employees
1. Employee spouse, employee’s family, and retired employees shall be entitled to enroll in any Corporate Education Center (excluding online and contracted customized) or credit-granting courses offered by WDT on a space- available basis. The following fees shall be applicable for spouse, employee’s family, and retired employees:

Education Benefits. The Authority shall continue its education benefits policy for the life of this Agreement. The Authority reserves the right to restrict payment amounts so as not to exceed tuition rates at local State institutions.
Education Benefits. In accordance with the rulemaking process and subject to the WAC for Educational Benefits, the parties will adjust the Tuition Waiver and add it to this appendix
Education Benefits. Effective 7/1/2018, employees working in a Childcare assignment are eligible for educational reimbursement of up to $50 year for courses taken that the employee wants to take and are directly related to the childcare assignment. The Childcare Program will either pay for the course or will reimburse the childcare employee for any fees charged for that course. School Age Site Leads are eligible to receive $60.00 per year toward MnSACA annual membership and all preschool child care staff working four (4) hours per day or more can receive $30.00 per year toward MnNAEYC/NAEYC annual membership.
Education Benefits. A. The parties mutually recognize the benefit of professional development for members of the bargaining unit. All provisions of this article pertain only to bargaining unit members. To accomplish this:
1) With approval prior to registration, the City will reimburse tuition costs for successful completion of approved courses taken at an accredited college. If the funds are available, no application will be denied, notwithstanding part D below.
B. Bargaining unit members attending approved courses may use vacation or compensatory time to attend classes when such classes occur while they are on duty. Vacation or compensatory time shall be used in a minimum four (4) hour block. For any classes requiring more than four hours, vacation or compensatory time shall be rounded up to the next half‐hour. Members may use less than four (4) hours of vacation or compensatory time for classes that begin at the start of the member’s shift.
C. The bargaining unit member shall provide a schedule of vacation or compensatory time being requested at the time of enrollment into the class. Unless otherwise authorized by Battalion Headquarters staff, the bargaining unit member requesting use of vacation or compensatory time to attend class must provide at least seventy‐two (72) hours’ notice.
X. Xxxxxxxxxxxxx is limited to thirteen‐and‐a‐half (13.5) quarter hours per fiscal year. Note: Three

With the prior agreement of the Xxxx the tuition shall be refunded upon successful completion. Tuition for only one class per semester shall be reimbursed. The member and the Xxxx may discuss ways in which duties may be reassigned to make it possible for the member to take the class.
23.8.1 The parties agree that the College will waive tuition fees for those dependent children of Xxxxxxx faculty who are registered as full-time students at the College.
