Transfers and Seniority Outside the Bargaining Unit. (a) It is understood that an employee shall not be transferred by the Employer to a position outside the bargaining unit without his/her consent. In the case of a temporary assignment not exceeding fifteen (15) months, unless otherwise agreed to by the Employer and the Union, such employee on temporary assignment shall continue to accumulate seniority for the first six (6) months. (b) An employee who is permanently transferred to a position outside the bargaining unit shall not retain his/her seniority.
