Volunteer Leave Subject to operational requirements as determined by the Employer and with an advance notice of at least five (5) working days, the employee shall be granted, in each fiscal year, one (1) day of leave with pay to work as a volunteer for a charitable or community organization or activity, other than for activities related to the Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign. The leave will be scheduled at times convenient both to the employee and the Employer. Under no circumstances shall there be carry-over of such leave to another fiscal year.
Leave of Absence for Union Business (a) The Employer shall grant leaves of absence to employees to attend Union Conventions, negotiations of the Collective Agreement with the Employer and other Union business. The Union agrees that such leave will not unduly affect the proper operations or be detrimental to the proficient operations of the Employer.
Investigatory Leave The Appointing Authority/designee may place an employee who is the subject of a disciplinary investigation on an investigatory leave with pay provided a reasonable basis exists to warrant such leave.
PRIVATE BUSINESS/GENERAL/PERSONAL LEAVES OF ABSENCE 12.1 Upon request to the principal, with two (2) weeks notice where possible, a teacher shall be granted two (2) days personal leave per school year except where circumstances put such a leave in conflict with the interests of the school.
