Additional Certification. Any RIFed academic employee who obtains additional certification, qualifications, or retraining while on a recall list shall be entitled to update their records with the Office of Human Resources. An academic employee on recall may request a change in RIF unit placement during the first week of October of each year. Change in RIF unit placement is subject to the approval of the committee established in Section B.2.

A faculty member on a recall list may request a change of his/her designation or RIF unit during the first week of October of each year.
Additional Certification. For employee medical leave the County may, at the County’s expense, require the employee to obtain the opinion of a second health care provider chosen by the employer. If the two health care providers disagree about any of the information in the certification, the parties may mutually select a third medical provider at the employer’s expense. The decision of the third provider shall be final and binding.
Additional Certification. In the interest of maintaining the educational program of the District and to minimize the problems that declining enrollment creates, the District and the Association encourage employees to seek additional certification in the interest of providing staffing reassignment possibilities but also to use present employees in efforts by the District to improve programs.
Additional Certification. The District shall grant one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500) per year to each unit member who currently holds a BCLAD (bilingual authorization) or Special Education certification, who is assigned to a bilingual classroom or Special Education assignment and maintains a “meets” or “exceeds” standards on their overall summary evaluation.
Additional Certification. An employee’s advancement between Xxxxx 0 xx Xxxxx 0 xxxxx xx determined on their ability to complete the required duties of the position. In order to advance from Level 1 to Level 2, an employee must demonstrate their ability to complete the majority of tasks required within the position. Once the employee is trained and capable of assuming the full duties of the new job, they will then receive the Level 3 step rate of pay for that position. Questions of interpretation will be decided upon by the Company in consultation with the Union.
Additional Certification. Any certificate signed by any officer of the Company or any of its subsidiaries and delivered to one or more Agents or to counsel for the Agents in connection with an offering of Notes to one or more Agents as principal or through an Agent as agent shall be deemed a representation and warranty by the Company to such Agent or Agents as to the matters covered thereby on the date of such certificate and, unless subsequently amended or supplemented, at each Representation Date subsequent thereto.
Additional Certification. These employees shall be guaranteed one (1) week workshop time.
Additional Certification. When required, CPR, First Aid or any additional certification classes will be sponsored by the Board. Class materials will be paid by the Board. Cafeteria Banking All banking will be done during the regular workday. Classification Placement A bargaining unit member who changes classification shall be placed on the salary schedule at the same step as that held in the previous classification. The bargaining unit member shall be credited with all years of service. If a bargaining unit member moves from a classification with fewer steps than the new classification, the bargaining unit member shall be placed on the appropriate step of the new classification after receiving credit for all years of service.
Additional Certification. For Group 6 positions requiring additional certification (i.e Payroll Assistants, Accounting Assistants, Transportation Assistant, Transportation Coordinator, Buyer Clerk) the 1st level rate for the classification shall apply upon entry into the position. The 2nd level rate will be paid the month following notification to the Company of successful completion of 25% of the required courses. The 3rd level rate will be paid the month following notification to the Company of successful completion of 50% of the required courses. Effective the first of the month following notification of successful completion of the required certification, the incumbent shall be paid an additional 4% above the Group 6, 3rd level rate. The applicable certification will be determined in conjunction with the Training Department and appropriate departmental supervision.
