These messages allow us to inform You about planned and unplanned service outages in Your area, appointment reminders, as well as remind you about important account information (invoice availability, balance due and payment due dates, payment confirmations, and other issues). If You do not wish to receive such alerts, You must notify us as indicated below. We may also inform You about the availability of special promotions that we are offering through text messages.

If Customer does not wish to receive such alerts, are offering through text messages. We will not send Customer advertisements or promotions by text messages without asking him/her to indicate such a preference first in writing, including through an electronic means. Indication of such a preference is not necessary for receipt of emergency and informational text messages.

We may also inform Customer about the ability to specifically register (opt in) for special promotions that we are offering through text messages. Indication of such a preference is not necessary for receipt of emergency and informational text messages.
Types of Alerts. Once the Push Notifications service has been activated, you can choose to receive alerts on account balances, payment and transfer confirmations and changes in your personal information. Each time one of the transactions you selected takes place, the service will send alerts and notifications to the device(s) your registered. • Alerts are subject to the following: o POPULAR could add new alerts from time to time or cancel existing alerts without prior notification. o Alerts’ delivery may be delayed or stopped due to several factors beyond POPULAR’s control. Therefore, POPULAR cannot guarantee alerts’ delivery or accuracy. It is possible that the content of an alert could not be up-to-date at the time it is sent or received as other activities may be taking place in your account or due to delays in data exchange between various systems. o Since alerts are not encrypted, we won’t include your password or your full account number in them. However, depending on the type of alert, they may include information such as your account balance or transaction information. Anyone who has access to your alerts can see these messages’ content. POPULAR reserves the right to automatically deactivate any inactive devices from the Push Notification service. We consider inactive devices those that haven’t been used to connect to the Mi Banco Mobile app within a period of 30 calendar days. These terms govern cash withdrawals at designated Banco Popular de Puerto Rico ATMs when using a mobile device that meets the requirements set out in this contract (compatible mobile device). They should be read in conjunction with the disclosures and the terms and conditions of service of your Banco Popular ATH card that is part of your Deposit Account Agreement.
