Common use of Unauthorized Leave Clause in Contracts

Unauthorized Leave. An absence of an employee from duty, including any absence for a single day or part of a day, that is not authorized by a specific grant or leave of absence approved by the employee's supervisor shall be deemed to be an absence without leave. Any such absence shall be without pay and may be grounds for disciplinary action including termination.
