Unavailability for Assignment. If an employee responds and is subsequently unavailable due to urgent circumstances, the employee must notify the posting supervisor immediately. Proof of urgent circumstances may be required for an absence to be deemed excused. If notification of absence occurs at least forty eight (48) hours in advance of scheduled assignment the next senior qualified employee in the classification who has responded shall be offered the assignment.

Unavailability for Assignment. Any Occasional Teacher becoming unavailable for assignment because of absence for illness, pregnancy/parental leave, Union leave or other personal reasons shall inform the Human Resources Services Manager in writing of the date of commencement of and return from the period of unavailability. In an emergency the notification shall come as soon as possible following the emergency. The Occasional Teacher shall be retained on the Board's Occasional Teacher List in an inactive status during the period of unavailability.

  • Liability for Failure to Make Transfers If we do not complete a transfer to or from your account on time or in the correct amount according to our agreement with you, we will be liable for your losses or damages. However, there are some exceptions. We will not be liable, for instance:

  • Teaching Assignments No employee shall be assigned to teach in a grade level and/or subject area not within the scope of his/her teaching certificate, except where a position within his/her certification is unavailable or when mutually agreed to by the affected employee and principal, or when determined necessary by the principal. Employees assigned to positions outside the scope of their certificates shall be assigned as soon as possible to positions for which they hold certification.

  • Non-Assignment PROVIDER shall neither assign its rights nor delegate its duties under this Agreement without the prior written consent of A&M System.
