Common use of Uniform Maintenance Allowance Clause in Contracts

Uniform Maintenance Allowance. The State shall continue to supply uniforms to employees whom it requires to wear uniforms as a condition of employment. When uniform maintenance is the responsibility of the employee, such employee shall be paid a uniform maintenance allowance of two hundred dollars ($200.00) per year unless the State makes other arrangements for uniform maintenance. The uniform maintenance allowance shall be paid to full-year employees on a semiannual basis, with half paid in January and half paid in July to eligible employees on the payroll at the time of the payment. Seasonal employees shall be paid the uniform maintenance allowance on a monthly basis provided that such employee is in pay status as of the fifteenth (15th) of any calendar month. The classes currently receiving uniforms and which shall be eligible for the uniform maintenance allowance are as follows: Allagash Park Ranger Xxxxxx Park Trail Specialist Capitol Security Screener Entomology Technician High Voltage Electrician (DAFS/BGS only) Military Firefighter Navigational Aides Assistant Navigational Aides Crew Leader Park Ranger
