Common use of Union Conference Leave Clause in Contracts

Union Conference Leave. Upon receipt of a written request, the Employer may grant leaves of absence without pay to Employees selected by the Association and to Employees elected as Officers of the Association, to attend union conferences, seminars, and training courses which do not exclusively involve only the Association and its members. In reaching its decision to approve/deny such request, the impact of the absence upon the normal operations of the Museum and/or the Employees’ department will be a major consideration.
