Union Representation Rights. 1. The President of OAPSE shall have the following rights in addition to the rights contained in any other portion of this Agreement: a. The right to receive on request, prior to each Board meeting, the Board agenda and Superintendent’s comments attached for public distribution. Copies of Board meeting minutes will be made available on the District’s website. b. The Board shall provide the OAPSE Local President and Treasurer with information affecting the employment status of any employee in the bargaining unit such as termination, employment, reclassification and building assignments. c. The right to receive timely notice of all: a. Hires b. Transfers c. Resignations d. Promotions and Demotions 2. During the on-boarding process with Human Resources, the newly hired employee will be provided with a link to the collective bargaining agreement and with contact information for the Union President and Vice President. The Union President will be provided with contact information for the newly hired employee(s). Two designated officers of the Union shall have an opportunity to meet with newly hired employees eligible for membership in Local 617 outside of their paid work hours.
