UNION SECURITY AND CHECK-OFF OF UNION DUES. 5.01 All present and future employees of the Employer, as a condition of continuing 5.02 The Employer shall deduct from every employee, an amount equal to the current monthly dues, initiations, or assessments levied, in accordance with the Union constitution and/or by-laws, and owing by the employee to the Union. 5.03 Deductions shall be made from the payroll period at the end of each month and shall be forwarded to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Union not later than the fifteenth (15th) day of the month following, accompanied by a list of names, addresses and (listed) home phone numbers of all employees from whose wages the deductions have been made. A copy of this list shall be forwarded by the Employer to the National Headquarters of the Canadian Union of Public Employees. 5.04 The Employer will notify the Union within one week of the starting date of each new employee. The notice will include the new employee's name, address, classification and supervisor's name. 5.05 The Employer agrees to acquaint each new employee with the fact that a Union agreement is in effect, and with the conditions of employment as set out in Articles 5.01, 5.02 and 5.03.
