Union Dues and Working Dues. Each employee shall, when working in a position within the bargaining unit described in Article 2 above, be required as condition of employment to have his regular monthly union dues and any required working dues checked off and the Union agrees to duly inform the Employer of the amounts of such union dues and working dues and any changes in the amounts. The Employer agrees to make such deductions from the first pay issued to the employees each calendar month and remit the same to the Union not later than the fifteenth (15th) day of the same month to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Union. The Employer shall, when remitting such dues, name the employees and their Social Insurance Numbers from whose pay such deductions have been made.

  • WORKING DUES 6.1 The hourly working dues shall be calculated at two percent (2%) of the Principal Operator hourly wage rate and shall be deducted from each employee covered by this Agreement for each hour for which wages are payable.   • Union Activity During Working Hours The Employer and the Union recognize that union representatives and stewards play an important role in effectuating the terms of this Agreement; however, both parties acknowledge that the duties undertaken as a union representative or xxxxxxx are in addition to the their job assignments. The Union shall notify the Department of Budget and Management in writing of the names of designated stewards and union representatives prior to them assuming any duties. Consistent with the operational needs of the Employer, the Employer shall grant time off with pay for designated stewards and union representatives, including reasonable travel time when necessary, to attend:

  • Professional Development Reimbursement Management will provide reimbursement for approved professional development expenses for Lieutenants and Sergeants. Funds may be used for the purpose of improving job performance, maintaining and increasing proficiency, preparing Lieutenants and Sergeants for greater responsibility, or increasing promotional opportunities. Management must approve of the specific professional development request in advance. Denial will require written notification to the requesting Lieutenant or Sergeant.

  • Using Student feedback in Educator Evaluation ESE will provide model contract language, direction and guidance on using student feedback in Educator Evaluation by June 30, 2013. Upon receiving this model contract language, direction and guidance, the parties agree to bargain with respect to this matter.

  • DEVELOPMENT OR ASSISTANCE IN DEVELOPMENT OF SPECIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS/ STATEMENTS OF WORK Firms and/or individuals that assisted in the development or drafting of the specifications, requirements, statements of work, or solicitation documents contained herein are excluded from competing for this solicitation. This shall not be applicable to firms and/or individuals providing responses to a publicly posted Request for Information (RFI) associated with a solicitation.

  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATIONAL IMPROVEMENT A. The Board agrees to implement the following:

  • WORK CLOTHES The employer shall provide all necessary work clothes (coveralls, work shoes or equivalent, and insulated coveralls, winter coveralls and rain gear as needed), as well as safety equipment, including personal safety gear. Work clothes and safety gear provided by the company are the property of the company. When a new set of work clothes is provided, the worn set shall be handed in. Used safety equipment as mentioned above shall be properly cleaned before being reissued.

  • Professional Development; Adverse Consequences of School Exclusion; Student Behavior The Board President or Superintendent, or their designees, will make reasonable efforts to provide ongoing professional development to Board members about the adverse consequences of school exclusion and justice-system involvement, effective classroom management strategies, culturally responsive discipline, appropriate and available supportive services for the promotion of student attendance and engagement, and developmentally appropriate disciplinary methods that promote positive and healthy school climates, i.e., Senate Bill 100 training topics. Board Self-Evaluation The Board will conduct periodic self-evaluations with the goal of continuous improvement. New Board Member Orientation The orientation process for newly elected or appointed Board members includes:
