UNION SECURITY AND DUES CHECK-OFF. 3.01 All employees of the Company will, as a condition of employment, become and remain members of the Union in good standing. For the purpose of this Article, “membership in good standing” will mean payment of all dues and initiation fees in accordance with the Constitution and By-laws of the Union. All current employees who have not already done so will be required to sign an application for membership and authorization for dues check off and initiation fee. The application form will be supplied by the Union to the Company. The form will be signed and returned to the Local Union Financial Secretary within fourteen (14) days of the execution of this Agreement. In the case of a new employee, the form will be completed and forwarded to the Union Chairperson within one week of the employee’s date of hire. 3.02 The Company will deduct bi-weekly, from the gross wages of each employee any dues, initiation fees or assessments levied in accordance with the Constitution and By-laws of the Union. The total amount to be deducted will be equivalent to the uniform, regular monthly dues of the Union. This amount will not be changed during the term of the Agreement, except in order to comply with a change in the Constitution and By- laws of the Union. The Union will provide to the Company written notice of the amount of regular monthly dues.
