Union Security - Payroll Deductions. It is the intent of this section is to provide for the regular dues of Union members to be deducted from his/her checks insofar as permitted by law. The City agrees to deduct and transmit to the Union, dues from all Union members within the foregoing unit who have signed an authorization card for such deductions in a form agreed upon by the City and the Union. However, the City assumes no responsibility either to the employee or to the Union, for any failure to make or for any errors made in making such deductions.
