PROFESSIONAL DUES AND PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS. A. The Board agrees to deduct from the salaries of its teachers’ dues for continuing membership in the Association, as said teachers individually and voluntarily authorize the deduction of such membership dues.
B. If the Association changes the dollar amount of its membership dues, the Association will give the Board fifteen (15) days written notice prior to the effective date of such change. The Association agrees to advise the Board, through the district's business office, of the amount of dues of each Association member wishing dues deduction or any change therein.
C. Pursuant to authorization set forth in Section A above, deductions will be made in consecutive installments commencing with the first payroll in September. Deductions will be made in either 20 equal installments or in 24 equal installments. PROFESSIONAL DUES AND PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS. 12.01 Any unit member who is a member of the SJTA/CTA/NEA, or who has applied for membership, may sign and deliver to the District an assignment authorizing deduction of unified membership dues, initiation fees and general assessments in the Association. Such authorization shall continue in effect from year-to-year unless revoked in writing. Pursuant to such authorization, the District shall deduct one-tenth (1/10) of such dues from the regular salary check of the unit member each month for ten (10) months. Deductions for unit members who sign such authorization after the commencement of the school year shall be appropriately.
12.02 With respect to all sums deducted by the District pursuant to authorization of the employee for membership dues, the District agrees to remit promptly such monies to the Association accompanied by an alphabetical list.
12.03 The Association agrees to furnish any information needed by the District to fulfill the provisions of this Article.
12.04 Upon appropriate written authorization from the member, the District shall deduct from the salary of any member and make appropriate remittance for annuities, credit union, or any other plans or programs approved by the Association or the District.
PROFESSIONAL DUES AND PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS. A. For Dues paying members, The District shall deduct one-twelfth (1/12) of dues and representation fee from the regular salary check of the unit member each month for twelve (12) months. Deductions for unit members who begin paid service after the commencement of the school year shall be prorated based on percentage of employment. Unit members serving one-half time paid service or less shall pay one-half of the dues and representation fee.
B. The unit member may pay the dues and representation fee directly to the unit. If paid directly, the total amount must be received by the Treasurer of the unit by September 30, or the total amount will be automatically deducted as provided above.
C. The District shall not be obligated to put into effect any new, changed, or discontinued deduction until the pay period commencing fifteen (15) days or longer after such submission.
X. XXXX agrees to pay the reasonable costs, including attorney fees, of defending or initiating action to enforce this provision and to indemnify the District in respect to the deductions herein required or any actions challenging enforcement of these provisions. The District shall not settle or compromise any claim without prior approval of LPPA.

Any faculty member who is a member of the Association or who has applied for membership may sign and deliver to the Faculty Association Office an appropriate written authorization requesting deduction of unified Chapter/CTA/NEA dues. Such authorization shall continue in effect from year to year unless revoked in writing between July 1 and September 1 of any year. Pursuant to such authorization, the District shall deduct one-tenth of such dues from the regular salary check of the faculty member each month for ten months beginning with the first regular salary check of the academic year. Faculty members who sign such an authorization after the commencement of the academic year shall have their dues prorated for the remainder of that academic year. With respect to all sums deducted by the District pursuant to authorization by the employee, the District agrees to remit monthly, within fifteen (15) days following the date of deduction on the member’s pay warrant, such monies to the Association’s designee accompanied by an alphabetical list of faculty members for whom such deductions have been made. The Association agrees to furnish any information needed by the District to fulfill the provisions of this Article. PROFESSIONAL DUES AND PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS. 4.1. The District will deduct from the pay of Association members and pay to the Association the normal and regular monthly Association membership dues as voluntarily authorized in writing by the employee on an official form subject to the followingconditions:
4.1.1. TheDistrictshall not be obligated to put intoeffect any new, changed, or discontinued deduction until the pay period commencing fifteen (15) days or more after such submission.
4.1.2. The Association shall provide the members with adequate and necessary data on any dues increase at least thirty (30) days prior to an effective date of any increase.
4.1.3. The Districtshall deduct one-tenth (1/10) of such dues from the pay of the member for the months commencing with the first month of the school year. Deductions for members who submit an authorization or a revised authorization after the commencement of the school year shall be appropriately prorated to complete the payments authorized by the authorization card within the above-mentioned ten-monthperiod.
4.1.4. The District shall promptly remit to the Association the monies collected pursuant to this Article. The Association agrees to submit to the District in writing within ten (10) days after the execution of this Agreement the current dues schedule of the Association and further agrees to notify the District in writing of any revision of that schedule or any general assessments of the Association.

Any teacher who is a member of the Hanford Elementary Teachers Association/CTA/ NEA, or who has applied for membership, may sign and deliver to the Association an assignment authorizing deduction of unified membership dues, initiation fees and general assessments in the Association. Pursuant to such authorization, received from the Association, the District shall deduct one tenth (1/10th) of such dues from the regular salary check of the teacher each month for ten (10) months. Deductions for teachers who sign such authorization after the commencement of the school year shall be appropriately pro-rated to complete payments by the end of the school year.
2. With respect to all membership dues deducted by the District pursuant to authorization of the employee, the District agrees to promptly remit such monies to California Teachers Association (CTA)
3. The Association agrees to furnish any information needed by the District to fulfill the provisions of this Article.
4. Upon appropriate written authorization from the teacher, the District shall deduct from the salary of any teacher, and make appropriate remittance for annuities, credit union, savings bonds, or any other plans or programs jointly approved by the Association and the District.
5. In any case in which the provisions of this Article are contested and it is necessary for District to defend a position, the Association agrees to hold the District harmless.
PROFESSIONAL DUES AND PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS. The District shall honor an employee’s written request to authorize payroll deductions for the Association as set forth in this Article. The Association shall be responsible for processing these requests and shall provide the District with timely certification so that such a request for a reeducation or deduction for an employee can be processed by the District payroll department according to payroll timelines. With respect to all sums deducted by the District, pursuant to above, the District agrees to promptly remit such monies to the Association, accompanied by an alphabetical list of unit members for whom such deductions have been made. Employee requests to cancel or change authorizations for payroll deductions for the Association shall be directed to the Association. The District will rely on information provided by the Association regarding whether deductions for the Association were properly cancelled or changed. Upon receipt of appropriate written authorization from the unit member, the District shall deduct from the salary of any unit member and make appropriate remittance for annuities, direct deposit, credit union, charitable donations, or any other plans or programs to a reasonable maximum as approved by the District. Pursuant to such statutory requirement, the District shall deduct one tenth of such amounts from the regular salary check of the unit member each month for ten months. Deductions for unit members who begin employment after the commencement of the school year shall be appropriately prorated to complete payments by the end of the school year. The Association shall indemnify and hold the District and its employees or agents harmless from any and all claims, demands, or suits or any action arising from the organizational security provisions contained herein.

Any employee who is a member of the Association, or who has applied for membership may sign and deliver to the Employer an assignment authorizing deductions of unified membership dues, initiation fees and general assessments in the Association. A copy of the authorization will be submitted to the Association. Such authorization shall continue in effect from year-to-year unless revoked in writing between June 1 and September 1 of any year. Pursuant to such authorization, the Employer shall deduct one-tenth (1/10) of such dues from the regular salary check of the teacher each month for ten (10) months. Deductions for employees who sign such authorization after the commencement of the school year shall have the entire dues amount appropriately prorated to complete payments by the end of the employee's contract.
B. Upon receipt of the signed payroll deduction authorization, the payroll department will deduct the proper amounts and remit such moneys to the Association.
C. The Association agrees to furnish any information needed by the Employer to fulfill the provisions of this Article.
D. Upon appropriate written authorization from the teacher, the Employer shall deduct from the salary of any employee and make appropriate remittance for annuities, credit union, saving bonds, charitable donations, or any other plans or programs approved by the Employer.
E. An employee who revokes his/her authorization for the payroll deduction of member dues shall transmit such dues to the Association in conformity with the following payment schedule:
1. November 1 -- one-half (1/2) of the dues, and
2. May 1 -- one-half (1/2) of the dues
F. The Employer will give written notification to the Association two (2) times per year (August and January) listing all unit members’ work sites and number of hours worked per day.

PROFESSIONAL DUES AND PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS. A. Any member of the unit who is a member of the Association, or who has applied for membership, may sign and deliver to the District an authorization for deduction of unified membership dues for the Association.
B. Insofar as possible within the limits of the bookkeeping capabilities of the District, upon appropriate written authorization from the unit member, the District shall deduct from the salary of any unit member and make appropriate remittance without charge to the Association or to the unit member for District-approved insurance and tax-sheltered annuity plans, credit union, savings bonds or any other plans or programs approved by the District.
C. With respect to all sums deducted by the District for membership dues the District agrees to remit such monies promptly to the Association accompanied by a list indicating the unit members enrolled in payroll deduction.
