Unit Facilities Director. The Unit Facilities Director (UFD) is responsible for serving as a ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ of ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ University assets, an advocate for the Cornell University mission and a partner with FS. The UFD responsibilities are: 1. Clearly define the scope and objectives of the project in sufficient detail to minimize change orders that can lead to budget or schedule overruns. 2. Provide a single point of contact with the unit level organization so that decisions and directives are provided in a timely manner to support the overall project schedule. 3. Provide timely and accurate responses to planning, design and construction related questions. 4. All Project Management (PM) and Construction Management (CM) services will be secured through the PM Centers or are provided by qualified UFS.
