Labour Management Relations Committee. In recognition of the mutual benefits of open communications and on-going consultation between the faculty and the employer, the Labour/Management Relations Committee will meet on a regular basis and have equal representation for the Union and the Employer. The LMRC will serve as an open forum for the free and candid discussion of matters of mutual concern to faculty members and management.
Labour Management Relations Committee. 20.01 The parties recognize that a forum for ongoing discussions during the term of the Agreement can promote more harmonious labour relations between them.
20.02 A Labour Management Relations Committee shall be appointed consisting of equal representation of bargaining unit employees and management representatives. A bargaining unit employee and a management representative shall be designated as co-chairman for each meeting. The terms of reference shall be established by the Committee.
20.03 Time spent by the bargaining unit employee representatives in attending the committee meetings shall be considered to be time worked.
20.04 The committee members can discuss any topics of mutual interest and concern which are related to their employment relationship, but the discussions do not constitute negotiations for the purpose of amending the collective agreement, and the committee meetings cannot deal with the adjustment of grievances.
20.05 In relation to the adjustment of contractual relationships, the committee is empowered only to make recommendations to the Employer and to the Union.
Labour Management Relations Committee. 17.01 The Employer and the Union will endeavour to establish and maintain a procedure of regular communication to promote greater understanding and better cooperation regarding all aspects of activity within the enterprise.
17.02 The Employer shall appoint one or two persons, and the Union shall appoint or elect two persons, to serve on the Labour-Management Relations Committee.
17.03 The Committee shall meet as often as deemed necessary to discuss any matters of concern placed before it by either one of the parties to this Agreement. A meeting of the committee can be called at any time to deal with urgent matters, upon due notice by either party.
17.04 The Committee shall elect a recording secretary whose task shall be to accurately record the proceedings of each meeting. Minutes shall be distributed to the Employer and the Union as well as to members of the Committee.
Labour Management Relations Committee. 17.01 The Employer and the Union will endeavour to establish and maintain a procedure of regular communication to promote greater understanding and better cooperation regarding all aspects of activity within the enterprise.
17.02 The Employer and/or his designate, and the Union xxxxxxx(s) serve on the Labour- Management Relations Committee. A Union Representative shall be part of the Committee when in attendance.
17.03 The Committee shall meet as often as deemed necessary to discuss any matters of concern placed before it by either one of the parties to this Agreement. A meeting of the Committee can be called at any time to deal with urgent matters, upon due notice by either party.
17.04 The Committee shall elect a recording secretary whose task shall be to accurately record the proceedings of such meeting. Minutes shall be distributed to the Employer and the Union as well as to the members of the Committee.
Labour Management Relations Committee. (a) The parties hereby agree to appoint a joint Labour Management Committee of two (2) employees appointed by the Union and two (2) members appointed by the Home who shall meet to discuss and if possible provide understanding of points of mutual interest between the parties; it being understood that such Committee shall have no right to usurp the power of the negotiation or grievance committee. The committees shall meet from time to time as agreed between the parties and all matters for discussion shall be submitted to the Administrator of the Home previous to each meeting to be placed on the agenda. By mutual agreement of the parties, the number of representatives on the Labour Management Committee may be increased.
Labour Management Relations Committee. A Labour-Management Relations Committee shall be appointed and consist of not more than three (3) representatives of the Employer, as appointees of the Employer, and not more than three (3) members of the Union, as appointees of the Union.
Labour Management Relations Committee. 27.01 A Labour/Management Relations Committee will be appointed within thirty (30) calendar days of the signing of this Agreement, consisting of two (2) representatives of the Union who shall be employees of SSP Canada Food Services Inc., and one (1) employee of SSP Canada Airport Services Inc. and three (3) representatives of the Employer, who shall meet on a monthly basis or more often by mutual agreement to discuss working conditions, economy of operations, quality and quantity of service and other matters to promote a harmonious relationship between the Employer and its employees. Employees shall suffer no loss of pay or be entitled to overtime as a result of attending such meetings. The parties will endeavour to hold all meetings during work time but, if this is not possible, employees who attend a Labour/Management Relations Committee meeting outside of work time will be paid straight time for all time spent at the meeting.
27.02 The Union Representative assigned to service the bargaining unit may participate as one of the three (3) representatives of the employees.
27.03 All minutes of the Labour/Management Relations Committee will be posted on the bulletin board and emailed to all employees as well as the Union by the Employer within seven (7) calendar days.
Labour Management Relations Committee. To comprise a maximum of four (4) seniority employees as its members and the purpose of which is as set out in Article 5.04 of this Agreement.
Labour Management Relations Committee. 21.1 The Employer and the Union agree to cooperate in the establishment and operation of a joint Labour- Management Relations Committee composed of an equal number of representatives of the Employer and its employees and governed by rules and regulations mutually drawn up and agreed upon. The object of this committee shall be to meet at least quarterly:
Labour Management Relations Committee. 9.1 In recognition of the mutual benefits of ongoing consultations and open communications between the employees and the Employer, the Union and the Employer agree to continue to conduct Labour/Management Relations Committee meetings.
9.2 The Committee shall consist of equal numbers of Union and College representatives, with a minimum of two (2) and a maximum of four (4) representatives from each Party. One (1) of the Union representatives shall be the President or designate.
9.3 The Parties agree that the Committee shall be guided by the following:
(a) The Labour/Management Relations Committee is intended as an open forum wherein matters of mutual concern and benefit can be freely and candidly discussed. Items may be put on the agenda by either Party upon written notification to the other Party prior to each meeting.
(b) An Employer and a Union representative shall be designated as joint chairpersons and shall alternate in presiding over meetings.
(c) Minutes of each meeting of the Committee shall be prepared and signed by the joint chairpersons as promptly as possible after the close of the meeting.
(d) The Parties understand and agree that the Labour/Management Relations Committee is not intended to serve as a supplement or an alternative to the grievance/arbitration process, nor to interfere with or attempt to re-negotiate any provisions of the Agreement between the Parties.
(e) It is intended by the Parties that the Labour/Management Relations Committee will be limited to serving as a vehicle for joint discussion and consultation, with a view to exploring possible solutions to mutual problems and concerns. This Committee is in no way intended to limit or restrict the rights reserved to the Employer to manage its operations or affairs.
(f) Meetings of the Labour/Management Relations Committee will be held at the request of either Party as soon as is possible following the request to meet.
(g) It is intended that any employee participating in meetings of the Labour/Management Relations Committee as a representative of the Union will not suffer loss of remuneration otherwise payable by the College when such meetings are held during working hours. Further, it is agreed that under no circumstances is the College obligated to pay any additional wages, salaries, overtime or other premiums in the event that the Parties agree to schedule a meeting of the Labour/Management Relations Committee during non-working hours.
