Unit Member - Administrator Designee. Annually, no later than the end of the third week of instruction, the site administrator shall designate in writing one unit member as the Administrator Designee and forward this information to the Association. In a prominent place at the site, the site administrator shall post the written designation including the name and contact for the Administrator Designee. Whenever an emergency occurs and no administrator is present at the school site, the Administrator Designee shall be responsible for making necessary decisions and directing unit members during that emergency. No unit member shall be required to accept the designation as the Administrator Designee nor asked to fill this role unless there is compensation. A site based Administrative Designee who is serving in the capacity of principal cannot serve as the administrator designee as used by IDEA. Each school site shall be allocated $500 total for compensation from the District to be paid to the Administrative Designee based on the non-instructional rate for services performed as the assigned Administrator Designee for that school site. The unit member shall submit a time claim to the site administrator who will process it.

  • Unit Members Whenever used in this Agreement, the term “Employee” shall mean all classroom teachers (pre- K-12), counselors, librarians (and/or their successor job title and/or classification), psychologists, social workers, home and hospital teachers, department heads, master teachers, academic coaches, instructional associates, instructional support teachers, educational associates, speech/language speech-language pathologists, audiologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, facilitators, consulting teachers, IEP Team Associates, pupil personnel worker, teacher – mentor, teacher – staff developer, and art, music and physical education resource teachers.

  • Unit Member Any employee of the Board of Education who is a member of the unit, including substitutes and home and hospital teachers.

  • Joint Benefits Committee In order to achieve benefit cost reductions, or at a minimum, cost containment, the parties agree to establish and aggressively participate in a Joint Benefits Committee. The parties agree that the Joint Benefits Committee shall explore all potential options or changes that could generate cost reductions to the Benefit Plans with the following order of priorities:
